Karini Viranna

Karini (she/her) is a South African-Canadian writer and producer based in Berlin who came onboard as guest editor of the Power Issue and now holds the role of gead of production. She has written for several notable European brands as well as literary magazines such as DADDY magazine, First Page Literature, Sunday Mornings At The River and Coffee People Zine. She also works as a features journalist for the Special Olympics. 

Karini founded the production collective SOMEDAY PRODUCTIONS. Together with co-director Wibke Deschamps-Lange, their upcoming docuseries, “Mom, I Am A Rich Man” follows four FLINTA artists redefining success and selfhood in Berlin’s creative ecosystem. Karini is also one of the co-producers of Matchbox Theatre, a Berlin-based contemporary theatre.
